Green credentials

Much is vaunted about sustainability and efficiency of buildings but Landid is one of the few developers who produce buildings that regularly exceed environmental expectations.

We believe that whilst the buildings in which we work protect us from nature's extremes, they must also provide a pleasing and healthy internal environment and minimise the impact on natural resources. Care is taken to work through the initial stages of a project to refine the siting, orientation and external envelope of buildings, and to address internal space planning options and circulation patterns to provide flexible, welcoming and efficient use of every area of the site.

Landid's directors have a long and impressive record of developing buildings that not only provide a high quality working environment, but are efficient and produce real energy cost savings for occupiers; having been involved in the beta testing of the original BREEAM system, and having installed the first major solar façade in a UK office development.

This commitment continues today, with our new build and refurbishment projects regularly achieving Grade B EPC certification, through the use of energy efficient plant and materials, and a combination of solar and ground source systems to augment energy requirements. Equally as important, the key members of Landid's professional consultants have worked together as a team for many years and apply the same determination and high standards to every project, be it a speculative or bespoke development.

Green agenda

  • Global Concern - to reduce carbon
    emissions
  • The issue of climate change is now
    universally recognised
  • The main objective is to reduce carbon
emissions and to encourage a greater
    awareness of sustainability issues
  • This is driving an increased demand
    for sustainable products - including
    property

The affect of green issues
on property

  • Roughly half of all EU energy consumption
    is attributed to buildings
  • 70% of London's emissions come from
    buildings
  • In the UK 17% of carbon emissions are
    from commercial buildings and 27%
    from homes
